LA28 shooting Para sport competition schedule: All you need to know

LA28 has confirmed the competition schedule by event for the 2028 Paralympic Games. In case you missed it, here is all you need to know about shooting Para sport at the next Paralympics, which will be held in Los Angeles, USA for the first time.
The LA28 programme will feature 13 medal events – three female, three male and seven mixed – taking place from 16 to 24 August 2028 at the Long Beach Target Shooting Hall.
Shooting Para sport has been part of the Paralympic programme since the Toronto 1976 Games. Hosts of the 2026 WSPS World Championships, South Korea topped the medal standings at the last Paralympic Games in Paris 2024 with six medals, including three golds. They were followed by China (five medals, two golds) and Germany (two medals, both gold).
Paris 2024 also saw a record spread of success across the field. Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Japan all celebrated their first-ever shooting Para sport podiums, contributing to a total of 22 nations winning at least one medal – up from 17 at Tokyo 2020.
