World Para Powerlifting (WPPO) has confirmed the calendar for the 2027 World Cup season, with four countries set to host events across three continents in one of the busiest years of the Paralympic cycle towards the LA28 Games. Familiar venues will once again welcome the world’s best lifters, alongside one new host city making its debut.

The traditional Fazza World Cup in Dubai will open the season from 2 to 5 February. The UAE venue first staged a World Cup in 2015 and remains the only city to have hosted the WPPO World Championships three times.

The tour will move to Europe in March, as Tbilisi hosts the event for the fifth time. The Georgian capital has also staged two European Championships and the World Championships in 2021.

The third stop of the season will mark a debut, with Astana welcoming the World Cup in July. The Kazakh capital is no stranger to Para powerlifting, having hosted the World Championships in 2019.

The 2027 WPPO World Cup season will conclude in Egypt at the end of October, with the host city to be announced. It will be the final WPPO event before the World Championships in December in Mexico.

More information about the events will be published here.
