World Para Alpine Skiing has announced that the World Cup in Sella Nevea, Italy, has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

The competition was due to take place from 19 to 21 December as the opening World Cup of the 2018-2019 season.

Zagreb, Croatia, will host the next World Cup on 16 and 17 January.

Sella Nevea and Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, will jointly host the 2019 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships from 21 January to 1 February.

The World Cup will then continue with more five events: Kranjska Gora (3-4 February), Veysonnaz, Switzerland (7-10 February); Espot (3-9 March) and La Molina (11-15 March), Spain; and Morzine, France (18-21 March).
