Ostersund, Sweden is the host for the 2017 World Para Ice Hockey Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament.
The competition runs from 9-14 October, with the top three teams qualifying for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.

The 2017 World Para Ice Hockey Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament will be played in a round robin system, with three points awarded for a win.

Host City
With a population of about 63,000, Ostersund is the only city in the county of Jamtland. It is situated by the Lake Storsjon. The long, cold winter is the city's greatest asset, along with the freshest air and the cleanest water of Europe. Additional to the Biathlon World Championship 2008 and the annual Biathlon World Cup premiere, Ostersund is also host of many other national and international winter sports events, e.g. Arctic Cat Cup, World Enduro Championships, Cross-country skiing World Cup, Vertex 24 and World Junior Curling Championships. Ostersund is also the host town for World Championships in Biathlon 5-17 March 2019.
Ostersund has hosted the 2015 World Para Ice Hockey Championships B-Pool and the 2016 World Para Ice Hockey European Championships.
