Barbados at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

·Barbados has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.

·Only two athletes have represented Barbados at the Paralympic Games - cyclist Daniel Coulthurst at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 and swimmer David Taylor at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

·Four years ago in London, Taylor placed 16th in men's 50m freestyle S9 and 21st in men's 100m breaststroke SB8.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Barbados, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
