·Cape Verde has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its Paralympic debut at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games.

·Marcio Fernandes was the only athlete representing Cape Verde at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, in the men's 100m and 200m T44 and javelin throw F44.

·Artimiza Sequeira finished in eighth place in the women's discus throw F42-46 at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, the highest position for a Cape Verdean athlete at the Paralympic Games.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Cape Verde, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
