·The NPC made its debut at the Stoke Mandeville/New York 1984 Paralympic Games.

·Faroe Islands is in 78th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·Swimmer Christina Naess is Faroe Island's most successful Paralympian in individual events: G1-S1.

·Naess won Faroe Island's only gold medal so far in the women's 100m backstroke C3 at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games. She also claimed silver in the women's 400m freestyle C3-4 at those Games.

·The NPCs most recent medal came at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, as Heidi Andreasen finished third in the women's 400m freestyle S8.

·Andreasen is Faroe Island's most decorated athlete at the Paralympic Games (S3-B2), but failed to win a single gold medal.
