·Gambia has yet to claim its first medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

·Demba Jarju and Isatou Nyang were Gambia's only participants at those London Games, all in athletics events. Nyang had the best result as she finished 12th in the women's 100m T54.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Gambia, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
