Moldova at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

·Republic of Moldova has claimed two medals at the Paralympic Games: B2.

·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

·Republic of Moldova is in joint 107th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·Both medals were won at Atlanta 1996 - Nikolai Tchoumak in the men's 10,000m T12 and Vladimir Polkanov in men's singles class 8 in table tennis.

·Powerlifters Stefan Rosca and Larisa Marinenkova, the sole representatives for Moldova at the last two editions of the Paralympic Games, both claimed a medal at the

2013 IPC Powerlifting European Open Championships in Aleksin. Rosca won silver in the men's 88kg while Marinenkova claimed bronze in the women's 67kg.
