    Philippines at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

    ·Philippines has claimed one medal at the Paralympic Games with one bronze.

    ·That single medal came at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, which makes them Philippine's most successful Paralympic Games to date.

    ·The NPC made its debut at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games.

    ·Philippines is in joint 109th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

    ·Powerlifter Adeline Dumapong claimed Philippines' only medal in the women's up to 82.5kg event at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, which makes her the NPC's most

    successful Paralympian.

    ·Ernie A. Gawilan will try to become the first swimmer representing Philippines to collect a medal at the Paralympic Games. He finished third in the men's 100m freestyle S8,

    400m freestyle S8 and 200m individual medley SM8 events at the 2014 Asian Para Games.

    ·There is no rights holding broadcaster in the Philippines, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
