·Qatar has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

·Nasser Al Sahoti came closest to the podium at the Paralympic Games, as he finished fifth in the men's javelin throw F58 in Athens 2004.

·Abdulrahman Abdulqadir Abdulrahman was Qatar's only participant at the London 2012 Paralympic Games: he finished seventh in the men's javelin throw F33/34, ninth in the men's shot put F34 and sixth in the men's discus throw F32/33/34.

·Abdulrahman won the men's shot put F34 and came in third in the men's javelin throw F33/34 at the Incheon 2014 Asian Games.

·Sara Masoud won two events at those Asian Games: women's discus throw F33/34 and women's shot put F32/33. She also finished fifth in the women's shot put F33 at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships Doha.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Qatar, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
