·Rwanda has claimed one medal at the Paralympic Games: B1.

·That only medal was claimed by Jean De Dieu Nkundabera. He placed third in the men's 800m T46 in Athens in 2004.

·The NPC made its debut at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.

·Rwanda is in joint 109th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·In 2012, Rwanda's best result at the Paralympic Games was Hermas Muvunyi's fifth place in the men's 400m T46.

·He missed the podium by 0.31 seconds as Pradeep Sanjaya Uggl Dena Pathirannehelag from Sri Lanka finished in 49.28.

·Rwanda is one of the three African NPC's which claimed a medal without winning any gold, alongside Libya (one bronze) and Ethiopia (one silver).

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Rwanda, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
