·Athlete Pradeep Sanjaya Uggl Dena Pathirannehelag claimed Sri Lanka's only medal at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

·He finished in third place in the men's 400m T46 in London.

·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

·Sri Lanka is in joint 109th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·Athlete Amara Lallwala Palliyagurunnans was the only female athlete from Sri Lanka competing at the Paralympic Games four years ago in London. She finished in ninth

place in the women's 100m T46 and in 10th place in the women's 200m T46.
