·Trinidad and Tobago is in 77th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·The NPC has been most successful in athletics, claiming two gold medals.

·Rachael Marshall is Trinidad and Tobago's most successful Paralympian in individual events: G2-B1

·Marshall won her gold medals in the women's shot put L5 and the women's javelin throw L5 in 1984. She also claimed a bronze medal in the women's 100m freestyle

swimming L6 at the same Paralympic Games.

·At the London 2012 Paralympic Games only one athlete from Trinidad and Tobago finished in the top-10, as Shanntol Ince finished 10th in swimming in the women's 100m

backstroke S9.
