·Zimbabwe has claimed 17 medals at the Paralympic Games: G2-S9-B6.

·Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 were Zimbabwe's most successful Paralympic Games to date, winning one gold medal at both editions.

·The NPC made its debut at the Arnhem 1980 Paralympic Games.

·Zimbabwe is in 70th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·The NPC has been most successful in athletics, claiming two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

·Zimbabwe won its other medals in swimming (S2-B3), lawn bowls (S2-B1) and table tennis (S1).

·Athlete Elliot Mujaji is Zimbabwe's most successful Paralympian in individual events as he won both of Zimbabwe's gold medals. He won men's 100m T46 at Sydney 2000

and at Athens 2004.

·Sandra James claimed most individual medals for Zimbabwe. She won five individual silver medals at the Arnhem 1980 Paralympic Games across three sports: athletics (3),

swimming (1) and table tennis (1).

·James won two gold, two silver and a bronze medal at Heidelberg 1972, when she represented Rhodesia at the Paralympic Games.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Zimbabwe, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
