He initially competed in high jump and occasionally competed in the javelin throw. In September 2018 he made the decision to focus his attention on the javelin throw with a view to competing in the event at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. "I started training in September 2018 so it feels like an eternity. The body is really noticing it. I had a broken ankle and abductor problems, but I'm okay.
