Kranjska Gora is a renowned resort in the Julian Alps, offering entertainment, sport and recreation throughout the year. The picturesque Kranjska Gora lies in the immediate vicinity of the three borders between Slovenia, Austria and Italy. Due to its altitude (810 m above sea level), fresh mountain air and numerous sunny days it has been known since the antique times as the unique climate health resort.

Kranjska Gora is renowned worldwide for its international sports events, such as the Vitranc Cup – Alpine Skiing World Cup, Alpine skiing for the Ski Jumping World Cup and Cross Country World Cup Planica. It has hosted Para alpine events since 2016, including three World Cups and one Europa Cup. In Planica you can also experience the biggest ski flying hill in the world – the most spectacular zipline in the world!

Winter

The ski slopes spread from Kranjska Gora to Planica, ranging from 800 to 1,215 m above sea level, which are connected with a system of 5 chair lifts and 13 cable railways.

There are also 40 km of trails for cross-country skiing and an ice rink in the town centre.

Here, the adventure of discovering the Upper Sava Valley begins, and never ends!

Location

In spite of its position, it is still very easy to reach. There are four airports (Ljubljana, Klagenfurt, Trieste and Venice) near Kranjska Gora. The most distant one is only two hours and a half drive away (Venice). Here every season has its unique face and charm, attracting numerous visitors from near and far places.
