London 2012 Paralympic Games

At London 2012 the shooting events took place in the historic surroundings of The Royal Artillery Barracks.

Competition ran from Thursday 30 August until Thursday 6 September, with a total of 140 shooters competing, made up of 100 men and 40 women. A total of 12 different medal events were contested across men’s, women’s and mixed categories in Rifle and Pistol events.

There are eight Rifle events: the men’s and women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing (SH1), the men’s and women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (SH1), the mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone (SH1 and SH2), the mixed 10m Air Rifle Standing (SH2) and the mixed 50m Free Rifle Prone (SH1).

There are four Pistol events: the men’s and women’s 10m Air Pistol (SH1), mixed 25m Pistol (SH1) and mixed 50m Pistol (SH1).

Each country was limited to three athletes in each event, with a total of five athletes across all events.
