Sardinia 2026 Open Water Cup

The World Para Swimming Open Water Cup will return to Alghero’s Lido San Giovanni on 19 September 2026 for the fourth edition of the event. It marks the first instalment under a new three‑year hosting agreement running through 2028, with the 2027 and 2028 editions also scheduled for September. Exact dates will be confirmed at a later stage.

Since its revival in 2023, the Sardinia Open Water Cup has become a regular stop on the World Para Swimming calendar, bringing together established champions and emerging talents. The event continues to grow year after year as part of the sport’s long‑term development programme.

There will be men's and women's 1.5km events for athletes from classes S3 to S6, and two men's and women's 3km races - one for for athletes from classes S7 to S10 and the other for classes S11 to S14.
