Italy will host a stage of the World Series for the first time when the fourth event of 2018 takes place in Lignano Sabbiadoro in May.

The venue is a picturesque sports village by the seaside, featuring not one but two swimming pools (25m and 50m length) as well as accommodation.

Organisers expect around 300 athletes to attend, including high profile Italian swimmers such as Federico Morlacchi, Francesco Bocciardo and 2017 World Series winner Monica Boggioni.
