The British Para Swimming International Meet is the highlight of the national Para swimming calendar, as well as the international season. For the second consecutive year, the GB leg of the World Para Swimming World Series will be held in Sheffield.

The event is one of the largest open Para swimming meets and attracts competitors from all over the world. The 2017 event welcomed over 300 athletes.

The fifth leg of the 2018 World Series will see the Para swimming elite converge for four days of world class action at Ponds Forge, with athletes competing for World Series titles, as well as selection into the British team for the European Championships in Dublin later in 2018.
