Sini Zeng

The London 2012 Paralympic Games may have been the first for China’s Sini Zeng, but nothing about her performance gave the appearance of a first-time participant.

The 24-year-old Zeng, a native of Guangdong, China, and member of the Guangdong Cycling team, competed in four events, winning two gold medals and setting a world record.

Zeng secured gold in the individual pursuit C3 (4:19.841) and the individual road race C1-3 (1:29.02), and earned the bronze medal in the individual time trial C1-3 (27:57.16).

Zeng, who has only one leg, set a world record in the women’s individual pursuit C3 at 4:19.841. She completed the event at a blistering pace of 41.5 kmph.
