A year after taking silver at the London 2012 Paralympics, French rower Stephane Tardiue returned to Great Britain for the World Rowing Cup at Eton Dorney on June 22 in Windsor, Great Britain.
This time however, the 43-year-old and his partner, Perle Bouge, won gold in the adaptive TA mixed double sculls with a time of 4:26.40.
Amazingly, Boughe and Tardieu have only been rowing together since 2010.
Besides winning gold at the World Championships and silver in the Paralympics, Boughe and Tardieu also won silver at the World Championships in both 2010 and 2011. Tardieu, who started rowing in 1985 as an able-bodied rower, also won gold medals at the French Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
