After gaining experience at her first Paralympics in Beijing in sprinting and long jump events, Dragic has concentrated on one event and developed in to the world’s best F12 javelin thrower.
Born in 1991, Dragic only started training in the javelin just a few months before the Beijing Games and did not compete in the event she is now a world force in.
Her first major international success in javelin was at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championship where she won gold and broke the world record with a throw of 36.74m.
One year later she was in great form again taking the European title in the Netherlands with another world record throw of 37.85m.
At London 2012 not only did she win gold but she threw over 40m for the first time. Her second throw of 42.51m placed her well ahead of her rivals and will take some beating in the years to come.
She trains three hours per day and runs on a highway with her brother following her.
Despite her young age, in last few years she showed consistency in results. The big question is can anyone finally beat her at the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championship.
