"I am very happy that I won again, because it was a really difficult season. Thank you to everyone who voted for me."

Claudia Loesch and Markus Salcher were named the 2014 Disabled Athletes of the Year at an awards gala at the Austria Centre Vienna on Thursday (30 October).

Loesch won two silver medals at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Russia in both the women’s super-G and giant slalom, to be crowned athlete of the year for the fourth time, after winning it in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

"I am very happy that I won again, because it was a really difficult season. Thank you to everyone who voted for me," she said.
