The 62nd Panhellenic Association of Sports Press (PSAT) annual awards in Greece last month recognised a number of leading para-athletes in the presence of sports and political leaders, sports personalities and the public.

The male athlete of the year with a disability award went to Manolis Stefanoudakis who won gold in the javelin T54 event at October’s 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Shot Put F53 world champion from October’s event in Doha, Dimitra Korokida, picked up the top female awards whilst the team award went to the boccia trio of Grigorios Polychronidis, Nikolaos Pananos and Anna Ntenta.

Titles for the trio in 2015 included April’s European Continental Cup in Spain and July’s European Team and Pairs Championships in Great Britain.
