The 2011 IPC Swimming European Championships were held in Berlin with 440 swimmers from 36 countries taking place.

The bid process for hosting the 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships has officially opened.

A fact sheet with further information has been sent to European National Paralympic Committees and is available in related documents on the left.

If organisers are interested in hosting the event and would like to receive further information, they should contact IPC Swimming (ipcswimming@paralympic.org).

The 2011 IPC Swimming European Championships were held in Berlin with 440 swimmers from 36 countries taking place. During the eight days of highly competitive action, 59 European records were broken, 31 of which were world records. Ukraine topped the medals table, followed by Great Britain and Spain.

In addition to 90 media covering the event, the competition was broadcast live via www.YouTube.com/ParalympicSportTV.
