Tan Yujiao will be the strong favourite to successfully defend her world title in the women’s up to 67kg at Mexico City 2017, especially after winning gold at Rio 2016 with a world record lift of 138.5kg.

Kazakhstan’s Paralympic silver medallist Raushan Koishibayeva will wait for the Chinese to have a bad performance to clinch her first world title. If not, she will still celebrate reaching the podium.

They also faced each other at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea, with Tan claiming the top spot and Koishibayeva ending in sixth place.
