World Para Powerlifting have announced the official calendar for the World Cup 2021.

All five World Cups will be part of the qualification pathway for August’s Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The World Cup is set to kick off in Bogota, Colombia from 5-8 March. It then travels to Europe three weeks later with Manchester, Great Britain hosting the second event of the season from 25-28 March.

Entries are open for the first two World Cups through the Sport Data Management System (SDMS).

Pattaya, Thailand will be home to the third World Cup followed by Tbilisi, Georgia, both in May. It will be the first time both countries host a World Cup.

The traditional Dubai Fazza World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in June will be the final stop before the Tokyo Paralympics.

In 2020, the World Cup season had two stops in Abuja, Nigeria and Manchester before the remaining competitions were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
