"It is the first time in Iran that an athlete with disability simultaneously is invited to Olympic and Paralympic qualification competitions. I hope to qualify for both the Olympics and Paralympics, to be able to participate in both glorious events and to secure another honour for my land.”

Iranian Paralympic and world archery champion Zahra Nemati has been invited to a national archery camp for able-bodied athletes along with 14 others, including fellow para-archer Ebrahim Ranjbar.

Nemati, who also won gold at the recent Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games in South Korea, is going to continue her training in the recurve event.

Zahra Nemati said: "To prepare for the upcoming world competitions in India, I will be in Tehran from 22 November 2014 to join able bodied athletes.

"It is the first time in Iran that an athlete with disability simultaneously is invited to Olympic and Paralympic qualification competitions. I hope to qualify for both the Olympics and Paralympics, to be able to participate in both glorious events and to secure another honour for my land.”

At London 2012, Nemati became the first Iranian woman to win Olympic or Paralympic gold when she topped the podium in the individual recurve W1/W2.

Earlier this week, Nemati made No.42 in the IPC's Top 50 Moments of 2014.

Ranjbar, after passing qualification competitions, was allowed to shoot his arrows with able bodied athletes. His coach Vaezi believes that this kind of training can help increase motivation for para athletes and all people can see disability cannot limit athletes from the success.
