Qualities of a Swansea Champion © • Swansea 2014

Volunteers (Champions) will play a vital role in the smooth delivery and success of Swansea 2014.

As a volunteer you will be given a fantastic experience of being involved in a major international athletics event, as well as receiving some free training depending on your role. The training sessions are likely to take place during the month of July, so please bear this in mind when applying.

The volunteer programme is open to anyone aged 18 and over and is a fantastic, one-off opportunity to mix with elite sports stars and Paralympians.

We have a number of roles that could be right for you.

Volunteer roles are allocated on the previous experience and skills that you tell us about in the application process, and also on a first-come first-served basis. (All positions are subject to availability).

Once you are allocated a position this will likely remain your role until the end of the Championships. The generic qualities expected from a Swansea Champion include taking the initiative, being a team player, enthusiastic, friendly, polite, reliable and sociable.

Applications have now closed. If you have any queries regarding volunteering at Swansea 2014 please email us at champions@swansea2014.com
