Paralympic and Olympic Partner Airbnb offers 1,000 grants to support athlete accommodations needs in their pursuit of qualifying for the next Paralympic or Olympic Games.

For the fifth time, Airbnb teamed up with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the launch of the Athlete Travel Grant 2025 to offer athletes the chance to apply for a USD 2,000 grant to book Airbnb stays around the world to support competition or training related trips, all with the aim of helping ease the financial strain of travel.

Airbnb’s enhanced search filters enable athletes to meet their unique accessibility accommodation needs and stay close to where they train and compete while allowing them to focus solely on their performances.

In the 2025 edition, priority will be given to athletes training for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games or the Olympic Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Games but all eligible summer and winter sport athletes are encouraged to apply through the following link.

Athlete Competition Partners are also eligible to receive the award as part of the application of the athlete they support.

Applications for the Airbnb Athlete Travel Grants are open between 22 January and 13 February.

Jacopo Luchini, an Italian Paralympic athlete and previous recipient of the grant, said, "Surfing in remote paradises, training in nature’s raw beauty, and discovering the world through Airbnb has been my way of breaking boundaries—both as an athlete and as a person. The AATG helped me make these dreams a reality, overcoming financial and logistical challenges, and allowing me to truly connect with the places, the sport, and the people who make it all possible."

In addition to the Airbnb Athlete Travel Grants, the IPC and IOC partnered previously with Airbnb for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games launching the Airbnb500 travel grant, a celebratory USD 500 grant benefiting more than 9,000 athletes and continuing the success of the programme from Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022.
