ABOUT THE PARA SPORT BRAND

In today’s world, sport can focus too much on the end-result of winning. But it is equally important to show amateur and aspiring athletes that the first achievement is simply beginning.​

So, if the podium is the end, what’s the beginning?

PARA SPORT is a brand created to strengthen the Paralympic Movement at all levels by providing tools and resources to foster grassroots participation. Through it we aim to educate and empower Para athletes, while developing pathways for Para athletes to compete at all levels through to the Paralympic Games.

By increasing participation in terms of athletes and countries, as well as growing the depth of talent that exists across all Para sports, the result will be a far stronger, more diverse, and impactful Movement. This in turn will lead to a greater transformational impact on driving social inclusion in society and empowering the lives of the world’s 1.2 billion persons with disabilities. 

THE PARA SPORT BRAND STORY

PARA SPORT is a brand dedicated to the sport’s next generation, showing the transformational power of sport on individual lives. Sport is a new beginning.  

The story focuses on three key areas: Awareness, Community and Freedom. 

• Awareness: Para Sport is dedicated to raising the existence and benefits of sport for people with disabilities and their families.  Our first step is proudly proclaiming our seat at the sporting table - welcome. 

• Community: Sport is as much about the people we meet and the memories made along the way as the medals earned. Togetherness is felt by both, individuals and their families. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth race, here, you’ll find a great community of people. 

• Freedom: Para Sport gives people an opportunity to challenge themselves and helps increase people’s self-confidence. The result is a profound sense of freedom, empowerment and strong sense of personal identity.
