The IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Nottwil is the seventh event of 2015 and although it is probably the smallest location on the circuit is does feature the strongest line-up of wheelchair racers this year.

Here’s five things you might not know about out Swiss host town.

1. Nottwil is the venue for the first ever IPC Athletics Junior World Championships which will take place in 2017 and 2019.

2. The population of Nottwil is just 3,400 – just 1 per cent of which is unemployed.

3. Nottwil has its own Caribbean Village – an oasis with surfing school, beach bar and surf shop - in land-locked Switzerland!

4. The Swiss town will host the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships between 28 July and 2 August 2015.

5. Seventy seven per cent of Nottwil’s area is used for agriculture, just 12 per cent for buildings and roads.

The IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Nottwil is supported by IPC Athletics international partner Allianz and will feature 350 athletes from 39 countries between 29-31 May.
