Two-time Paralympian Julie Rogers and debutant Jack Gladman have been added to the British Para Athletics Team for their home World Championships, set to take place in London, from 14-23 July 2017.
Former sitting volleyball player Rogers ran the women’s 100m T42 at last year’s Paralympic Games, but could not qualify for the final. The 18-year-old recorded a personal best of 16.82 at a national competition in Bedford last May.
Gladman will make his debut at a World Championships in London, competing in the men’s 1,500m T38. The 20-year-old has seen a significant improvement in 2017, clocking a personal best of 4:32.35 to finish third at the Paris Grand Prix in May.
