Paralympic Partnerships
Key pillars for the Growth of the Paralympic Movement
WORLDWIDE PARTNERS
The Worldwide Paralympic Partners receive the highest level of sponsorship recognition, granting category-exclusive marketing rights to the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games.
Worldwide Paralympic Partners play a crucial role in advancing the Paralympic Movement such as:
- Activating marketing rights as well as raising awareness and visibility of the Paralympic Movement.
- Purpose-driven campaigns and content creation about the Paralympic Movement.
- Providing essential products, services, and technology for staging the Paralympic Games.
- Activations that enhance the spectator and athlete experience during the Paralympic Games.
- Supporting grassroots, educational and development programmes.
- Supporting athlete training and development during the Paralympic Games.
The Worldwide Paralympic Partnerships are a result of an agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) when the 'One Bid, One City' policy was renewed in 2021. The extension of the agreement until 2032 underscores a long-term commitment to shared goals, operational synergies, and enhanced visibility of the Paralympic Games through shared venues, services, and the use of Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) as the host broadcaster. The agreement aims to elevate the Paralympic brand, strengthen its global reach, and ensure the long-term success of the Games and the broader Paralympic Movement.
The IPC and IOC supports the local Organizing Committees (OCOGs) to develop and delivery a domestic marketing programme that engages partners with the Paralympic Games.
PARTNER-LED ATHLETE SUPPORT PROGRAMMES
From financial aid, skill development, career opportunities and more, Worldwide Paralympic Partners offer a number of initiatives that support Para athletes beyond the field of play. Whether an athlete preparing to compete for the first time at the Paralympic Games or transitioning to athletic retirement, resources are available to support the journey.
