The following FAQ page has been created to answer any specific questions you may have about ticketing and the event.

How much do tickets cost?

Manchester 2023 Allianz Para Swimming World Championships tickets start from just £10 for adults and £5 for under 16’s.

Event passes - which allow access to every session - start from £90.

Can I choose my seat?

Choosing a specific seat is not possible, although all tickets are for allocated numbered seats so you will know exactly where you are sitting. This also means you can ensure that everyone you are attending with can sit together, so long as their tickets have all been booked together.

Those who book accessible seating will receive tickets that don’t have a specific seat number on them. However, these tickets will ensure entry to our accessible viewing platform for you and your companion.

Are there premium tickets available?

Due to the size of the venue and the number of spectator seats available, we will only be offering one standard ticket type available at both adult and child prices.

What does a full event pass cover? (SOLD OUT)

This ticket provides access to every session of the event – heats and finals on every day. You will be allocated a specific seat number which is yours for the duration of the competition and our re-entry process (see later FAQ) will allow you to leave and return to the venue as you please during competition.

What is the age range for junior tickets?

These tickets are for children aged 2-16yrs.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my baby?

Babies/toddlers under the age of two years who will be seated on an adult’s knee do not need a seat. Please note pushchairs and buggies will not be allowed into the seating areas. A buggy store will be available.

Is accessible seating available?

Accessible seating is available for those spectators in wheelchairs. Those who require assistance are entitled to claim one free ‘companion’ ticket when a full priced ticket is purchased. This is available on both standard and accessible ticket purchases.

When will I receive my tickets?

You will receive an email with your e-tickets shortly after making a booking. Please bring these with you to the venue, ideally on your mobile device.

Do I need to print my tickets?

There is no need to print your tickets as you can present your digital tickets to our staff at the venue using your mobile device.

Whilst printed tickets will also be accepted, to help reduce our impact on the environment, we would encourage fans to use the digital tickets option.

Can I purchase tickets at the venue?

Due to the limited capacity of this venue and the number of seats available we strongly recommend the pre-purchase of tickets for the sessions you wish to see to avoid any disappointment.

Tickets are sold subject to availability, so we strongly recommend buying early online. If you arrive at the venue without a ticket, you will be asked to purchase one via the official website if the ticketing staff know seats are still available, otherwise you will be encouraged to return for another session.

What can I do if the ticketing site is showing no availability for the session I require?

Unfortunately this probably means that all tickets for this session are now sold. We have a limited number of spectator tickets available for purchase and as such have been encouraging early purchase of tickets to avoid disappointment.

Can I move around within the venue or change seats on the day?

Each ticket is allocated a seat number and we are expecting the event to sell out which means unfortunately, you are not able to move to another seat during the event or change your allocated seat.

Can I come and go during the day?

Yes. Anyone who has booked a day or event pass ticket will be able to leave the venue and gain re-entry if they wish. The venue will be operating a re-entry system (such as a wristband or handstamp). As such, please make sure you check with a steward or member of the ticketing staff before you leave the venue so you can re-enter easily.

THE CHAMPIONSHIPS 

Who will be competing at the event?

More than 700 Para swimming athletes from 70 nations across the world will be heading to Manchester in July.

The last time the UK hosted the event, London 2019 was a thrilling event which saw 188 records broken, including 39 world records.

How can I find out when certain athletes are competing?

The event schedule is now available. However, we will not be able to confirm exact athletes competing until much closer to the event.

Will official merchandise be available to buy at the venue?

Official Manchester 2023 Allianz Para Swimming World Championships merchandise will be available at the venue from our merchandise stands.

VENUE/GETTING THERE

How can I travel to the event?

The Manchester Aquatics Centre is located at 2 Booth Street East, Ardwick, Manchester, M13 9SS.

Where possible, we would encourage fans to consider sustainable travel means to help reduce the environmental impact of attending the event.

How can I make the most of my time in Manchester outside of the championships?

How accessible is the venue?

The Manchester Aquatics Centre is operated by Better. All of their 280 leisure facilities across the UK, including the MAC, are adapted for wheelchairs, have disabled toilets and accessible changing areas, lifts and ramp access, and suitable poolside facilities including a poolside hoist. Accessible parking is also available.

VOLUNTEERING

I have applied to be a volunteer; can I still purchase tickets?

Yes. As part of the volunteer application process you will be asked about your availability. Please include any sessions you have purchased tickets for when completing this section.
