Agitos Foundation sends its condolences to family of Mohamed Karifa Sylla

Para athlete Mohamed Karifa Sylla was registered to compete in the Tunis 2019 World Para Athletics Grand Prix

The Agitos Foundation and World Para Athletics send its condolences to the family of Mohamed Karifa Sylla.

The 26-year-old Para athlete from Guinea passed away this weekend following a motorcycle accident in the city of Fria, in his home country. His coach Amadou Zida Camara, 39, was also injured in the accident and is currently recovering in hospital.

In two weeks Camara and Sylla would be joining other 28 athletes and coaches from African countries supported by the Agitos Foundation to compete at the Tunis 2019 World Para Athletics Grand Prix.

Rita van Driel, Agitos Foundation Executive Committee Chairperson said:

"On behalf of the Agitos Foundation, I would like to send our condolences to Mohamed’s family and NPC Guinea following his sad passing. We also want to wish his coach Amadou a quick and safe recovery."
