Blind football will be showcased on Saturday (28 May) before the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, as part of the UEFA Champions Festival, a four-day event in Milan, Italy.

Italian club team A.S.D. LIGURIA Calcio Non Vedenti will meet French powerhouse Girondins de Bordeaux in this football-5-a-side friendly match, held in the grounds of the Sforzesco Castle.

Since it will take place four hours before the Champions League final, thousands of fans are expected to witness the exhibition.

The game is a result of IBSA’s ongoing partnership with UEFA, which provides financial support to develop football for blind and partially sighted players in Europe.
