A total of 35 participants from four countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Scotland) will meet this weekend in Berlin, Germany, for a Football 5-a-side seminar held as part of the UEFA-funded International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Futsal Development Project Europe.

The seminars are being held by IBSA in partnership with the National Paralympic Committee of Germany and with support from the German Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Theoretical sessions on coaching blind and visually impaired players as well as refereeing matches will take place on 4 July, followed by practical sessions on 5 July. The German National Football 5-a-side team, as part of a training camp in the German capital, will take part in the practical sessions.

After the two days seminar, participants will return to their clubs and organizations ready to coach and train blind and visually-impaired athletes.

Two more seminars are scheduled for this year in Russia (October) and Turkey (December), while Croatia is expected to host countries from the Balkan region in the first quarter of 2009.
