A total of 75 coaches and referees from five countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia will gather this weekend in Moscow, Russia, for Football 5-a-side seminars held as part of the UEFA-funded International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Futsal Development Project Europe.

The seminars will take place at the Ozero Krugloe Training Centre near the Russian capital. They are organized by IBSA in partnership with the All Russia Association of the Blind (VOS) and All Russia Blind Sports Federation (BSF).

Theoretical sessions on coaching blind and visually impaired players and refereeing matches will take place on Friday 3 October, followed by hands-on practical sessions on Saturday 4 October.

A number of experienced players from Russia will be on hand to show off their skills, in addition to a group of beginners who will help the international trainers conducting the courses to teach the coaches from the participating countries.

Participants will be given a solid grounding in the coaching and refereeing skills required for Football 5-a-side by an international IBSA team with ample experience in the game.

This year, the final seminars of this project are scheduled to take place in Turkey in December. Croatia is expected to host countries from the Balkan region in the first quarter of 2009.
