Throughout the month of March, there are 15 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour events taking place in 11 different countries.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is launching World Tennis Day on Monday (4 March) in an effort to promote able-bodied and wheelchair tennis and increase participation among young players around the globe.

World Tennis Day will centre around two high-profile events that will feature current former and professionals together - the well-established BNP Paribas Showdown in New York’s Madison Square Garden and a new event of the same name to be played at the Asia World Arena in Hong Kong.

Alongside these events, the ITF will encourage its 210 National Associations to support World Tennis Day with their own grassroots and club activities to attract new participants to the sport. Thirty seven National Associations have already pledged their support and are planning activities for the day.
