ITF Wheelchair Tennis Ambassador Sven Groeneveld Wins Award

International Tennis Federation (ITF) Wheelchair Tennis Ambassador Sven Groeneveld has been named top coach of 2010 by tennis portal 10sballs.com.

Groeneveld, who started working with women's world No.1 Esther Vergeer towards the end of 2009 and who was one of six ITF Wheelchair Tennis Ambassadors announced in 2010, was presented with his award at the recent Players' Party at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

As well as working with Vergeer, Groeneveld also works with another 2010 ITF World Champion, Caroline Wozniacki (DEN).

The BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells hosted a Wheelchair Tennis exhibition earlier this week, during which women's tour players Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) and Francesca Schiavone (ITA) took part in a series of one-up, one-down games with players from the US-based Adaptive Athletics Association.
