Nigeria Dominates African Para-Table Tennis Championships

Nigeria won gold in 12 of 19 events at Thursday’s (10 November) African Para-Table Tennis Championships in Ismailia, Egypt.

Egypt finished second as a delegation with five golds and South Africa finished third with two golds.

The Nigerians’ campaign was led by their athletes in the team event, who completed clean sweeps on both the men’s and women’s side in the five events.

The men’s singles competition was highlighted by Nigeria as well. In the men’s competition winners included: Oluade Egbinola (class 1-3), Victor Farinloye (class 8), Adisa Tunde (class 9) and Olabiyi Alabi Olufemi (class 10). Chinenye Faith took home the title on the women’s side (class 5).
