Sweden's Stefan Olsson and Australia’s Daniela di Toro of won the first men and women's singles titles of the 2011 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour over the weekend at the Queensland Open in Brisbane, Australia.

Top seed and world number three Olsson eased through the top half of the draw, beating defending champion Great Britain’s Marc McCarroll in the semifinals. There was however British interest in the final after third seed David Phillipson beat the player ranked directly above him, Ben Weekes of Australia.

However, reigning NEC Masters champion Olsson completed a fine start to his season with a 6:0, 6:2 win in the final.

Top seed di Toro took the women's semifinal against Japan's Maimi Kamikihara without dropping a game, while Dutch world number five Aniek van Koot had a walkover in her semifinal after Britain's Lucy Shuker had to withdraw. However, there was far more drama in the final as di Toro came through in three sets to win 6:2, 4:6, 6:2.

Second seeds McCarroll and Phillipson defeated Australia's Michael Dobbie and Olsson 6:2, 6:3 in the final after the Australian-Swedish duo had beaten top seeds top seeds Yoshinobu Fujimoto and Niclas Rodhborn in the first round and subsequently reached the final for the loss of just two games.

The women's doubles went to the all-Australian partnership of di Toro and Luba Josevski after Shuker's withdrawal from the singles semifinals also led to her pulling out of the doubles final for which she and van Koot were top seeds.
