Worldwide Paralympic partner Ottobock signed an agreement with the local organising committee of the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships (COMAP) on Saturday, 25 May, to become an official partner of the event.

The agreement was signed by Fabienne Bonnet, representing Otto Bock, and Marcel Ferrari, Vice-President of COMAP in charge of sport.

Under this agreement, Ottobock will provide athletes competing in the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships with immediate repairs for orthoses (devices which support the limbs), prosthetics (replacements for limbs) and wheelchairs.

Ottobock will also contribute to the promotion/exhibit village organised by COMAP and situated just outside the stadium, and provide a 200 square meter display, including a wheelchair parcour, wheelchair basketball try-out and an awareness tent.

Otto Bock is the leading global supplier in prosthetics and rehabilitation and has been supporting the Paralympic Movement and its athletes, both with its products and its free services, at events for years. Since the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games, Otto Bock has also brought their service centre to several major competitions outside the Paralympic Games, including IPC Athletics World and European Championships.
