Sport week: Classification in football 5-a-side

Only athletes who have a B1 sport class may compete in football 5-a-side as outfield players. These athletes have a very low visual acuity and/or no light perception.

Goalkeepers, on the other hand, must be fully or partially sighted (B2 or B3 category) and can act as guides as well.

To ensure fair competition all players (except for the goalkeepers) must wear eyeshades.
