Sport week: Classification in football 5-a-side
Outfield players shall be completely blind to be eligible to compete, whilst goalkeepers shall be fully or partially sighted. 10 May 2016
Football 5-a-side match at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games.
Only athletes who have a B1 sport class may compete in football 5-a-side as outfield players. These athletes have a very low visual acuity and/or no light perception.
Goalkeepers, on the other hand, must be fully or partially sighted (B2 or B3 category) and can act as guides as well.
To ensure fair competition all players (except for the goalkeepers) must wear eyeshades.

Residents of Brazil can buy 2016 Paralympics tickets directly from the Rio 2016 website.
