Vienna, Austria staged a newly-established blind football programme between 15-16 October, organised by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) in partnership with the Austrian Disability Sport Federation and a strong support from local club Rapid Vienna.

In total 10 players and 10 coaches took part in this training camp as part of a UEFA (Union of European Football Associations)-funded IBSA Blind Football Development Project Europe, which aims to take the game to every IBSA Europe member country and UEFA member association.

The programme included an introduction to the sport on Friday and training sessions on Saturday and on Sunday morning.

Austria also received balls and eyeshades free of charge to kick-start their activities and IBSA Football will assist them in setting up a national blind football team.
