“We are very excited that people around the world will be able to watch the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships.”

US Paralympics has announced that it will live stream the road race portions of the International Cycling Union Para-Cycling Road World Championships on its website.

More than 450 athletes from 45 countries will converge in Greenville, South Carolina, from 28 August – 1 September as the USA hosts the international event for the first time since 1998.

US Paralympics will stream more than eight hours of live coverage of the road race Championships between 31 August and 1 September.

Sunday’s (31 August) events will include the men’s and women’s cycle and tandem races, while Monday (1 September) will feature the handcycle and trike races.

Additional on-demand videos will be available of the handcycle relay and time trial events. All videos will be made available to a global audience.

“We are very excited that people around the world will be able to watch the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships,” said Ian Lawless, cycling high performance director for US Paralympics.

“It’s going to be a real show for people as the best Paralympic cyclists in the world race head-to-head, but it is also going to help inspire the next generation of Paralympic cyclists and show them what it is like to race at the highest level in this sport.”

The free, international live streaming of the road race events will be available at USParalympics.org at the following times:

• 31 August - 08:00-11:00 and 14:30-15:00 EDT

• 1 September - 08:00-10:30 and 13:30-15:30 EDT
