For the second successive week, there are 200 women on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour Ranking.

The number of women on the ranking reached 200 for the first time in the ranking of 10 October 2011.

This is a landmark for the sport under current ranking criteria, which specifies that a player must have earned ranking points in two tournaments to earn a world ranking.

The current ranking includes players from 39 different countries, from Argentina to Zimbabwe and Austria to Thailand, demonstrating the worldwide appeal of wheelchair tennis and reinforcing its status as one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

This latest landmark comes towards the end of a season in which the 2011 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour includes 173 tournaments in 46 countries.
